Fringe Goodbye At Comic Con

After the 13 episode season 5 starting in September, Fringe will be ending.  I am upset about this and I guess a part of me is hoping for a miracle.  A miracle in the form of a full season 5.  Please, if you are a fan of Fringe, tune in this September and show Fox that we really do love this series and all the characters.

Fringe Cast Says Goodbye at Comic-Con

The tears flowed more than the spoilers this afternoon inside Hall H at Comic-Con, as Fringe cast and crew members reminisced about their beloved series and said goodbye to an auditorium full of passionate fans.

Anna Torv and Lance Reddick got the waterworks started when asked about their most memorable Astrid episode… while Jasika Nicole then did the same to her co-star by gushing over the scene in which Olivia pulls clothes out of dryer after she realizes Bolivia had taken over her life.

In less emotional, more Fringe Season 5-based news:

  • Henry Ian Cusick might still return as Simon Foster.
  • The cast has not started filming yet, but actually took time to film scenes for a trailer (BELOW) that feature many sentimental moments between Peter and Olivia.
  • Will these two get a happy ending? Joshua Jackson would only say “I think that [they] will get the final chapter of their story.”
  • The fifth season “will pick up exactly where we left off in 419, the next day” in the year 2036, said producer Joel Wyman.
  • Why have there been no female Observers? Replied Wyman: “The answer to your question will become apparent this year.” A book chronicling the Observes will also be available in September.

News About One Of Fringe’s Greatest Assets

I don’t say this lightly and I was more than surprised and saddened by this news.  From Spoiler TV.

 

Some surprising news has just emerged as Fringe prepares for its final 13 episode season five.

Jeff Pinkner has decided to step down as co-showrunner and head writer, as well as no longer retaining his executive producer role on the show.
JJ Abrams made this statement:

“For four years, J.H. Wyman and Jeff Pinkner have worked tirelessly as a team to keep all the worlds in order on Fringe. We’re thankful for the invaluable contributions Jeff has made to the show and of course wish him well and look forward to working together in the future. J.H. Wyman’s importance to Fringe cannot be overstated, however, and I’m thrilled that he will continue as showrunner for the concluding chapters of our story. We can’t wait for our fans to see what we have in store for them in the wild conclusion of Fringe.”

Remaining show-runner JH Wyman has assured fans on his TWITTER that he will be here until the end, stating that he “will be here [Fringe] until the last frame.”

Fringe Season 5 Episode 1 Title Confirmed

I just saw this on Twitter and thought I would post it here.  Weird title but it wouldn’t be Fringe without a weird title. LOL  July is almost here so now my anticpation for all of my series to premiere is growing.

 

JH Wyman has just confirmed the title of the season five premiere over on his TWITTER account by posting a picture of the front page of the script.
The episode will be called “Transilence Thought Unifier Model-11”

Fringe At Comic Con

This will be the last Comic Con for Fringe.  As much as I am excited about seeing this final season it will be with a heavy heart.

Fringe–Be Prepared For The Final Season

I don’t think I will ever be prepared for waht may happen in the final season of Fringe but this article made my blood run cold.  Call it a premonition or me just being paranoid, but I think all of us Fringe fans will be in for quite a ride.

A few weeks ago, Fringe zipped forward to the year 2036 and showed us a world ruled by The Observers, time traveling super-powered bald men from the 27th century with a passion for fedoras, hot sauce and flasks of ice water. Can Walter (John Noble), Olivia (Anna Torv), and Peter (Josh Jackson) do anything here in the present to avert this fate? If you’ve seen the season four finale, then you now know – SPOILER ALERT! – that you’ll have to wait until the cult fave’s fifth and final season for the answer. “That’s certainly the suggestion at the end,” says exec producer J.H. Wyman, referring to two revelations in the closing moments that would seem to pave the way for Observageddon. “The idea that September says ‘They’re coming’ and that Olivia says she’s pregnant really does set us up for what we saw in ‘Letters of Transit.’ At the same time, I will also say that everything you’ve seen over the past four seasons is hugely important to season five.”
Fringe is known for bleak cliffhangers that set up or tease the next year’s capture-the-imagination sci-fi idea. But the exec producers say that with “Brave New World,” they were going for something more emotional, less mythological. Hence, this year, our heroes got something like a clean victory/happy ending. Walter defeated William Bell’s wannabe god scheme to create a “brave new world” filled with strange creatures (and very few humans), while Olivia cheated death (from a bullet in the head, no less!) with her recently-conceived baby intact. Also: Astrid lives! Wyman calls the episode “the calm before the storm… a gentle closing of the door” to this part of the saga.

 

 

 

Fringe–Season 4 Finale “Brave New World” Part 2

Boy oh boy, there was so much going on with this season finale that my head was literally spinning.  I didn’t move a muscle while it was on.  A rundown on what happened and some OMG moments.

1.  The woman who seemed to have been in trouble and may die in the first part of this episode was evil and apparently working for Bell.

2.  Astrid is alive!!!  Having only sustained a gunshot wound she was just fine.

3.  Evil woman, Jessica, has caught September, our friendly Observer to lure Olivia and Peter.

4.  Ha, Jessica, you can’t pull the wool over Peter, Olivia and September’s eyes.  Olivia uses her special abilities and zap, Jessica is dead.

5.  September vanishes but not before he leaves Olivia with a glimmer of hope about her survival.

6.  Bell has Walter and shows him what his brave new world will look like and how much he wants Walter to join him.

7.  Walter has dead Jessica taken back to the lab where Nina comes and jolts Jessica back to life for just a moment so she can tell them where Walter is.  Creepy moment.

8.  Peter and Olivia find Walter and Bell but in a wild twist that I did not see coming, Walter shoots Olivia right in the head and kills her thus foiling Bell’s plan.  First OMG moment for me.  Pissed Bell vanishes.

9.  Peter and Walter rush to bring Olivia back from the dead before it’s too late.  You got to love Cortexifan.  They succeed.

10.  At the hospital, Olivia tells Peter she is fine but she is pregnant.  Second OMG moment.

11.  Walter goes back to the lab happy ad makes himself a toasted P&J sandwich.  September appears before him and warns him that “They Are Coming”.  Who they are I have no clue.

Phenomenal season finale and I am so thrilled Fringe will be back for another season, although it will be their final season. Sniff, sniff.

Fringe “Brave New World” Part 1

Well, I was hysterical last night when I saw Astrid getting shot.  I did not even see that coming.  Fringe has always been good at blindsiding me with surprises or in this case SHOCK.

So William Bell is alive and well and just plain old nasty and rotten.  One good thing came out of that–David Robert Jones finally bit the dust–literally.  He was the chess pawn that Bell was talking about earlier in the episode.  Good riddance once and for all.

Boy did Olivia kick some major ass on the roof top while saving Peter.  I wouldn’t mess with her.

The conclusion and season finale of this 2 part episode looks amazing and I have no earthly idea what is going to happen.  That’s just fine with me.  I would rather be surprised and not spoiled with this series.  Too much great stuff going on.

I would so love for Fringe to be finally recognized for it’s fantastic writing and acting by the Academy of TV and get nominated for an Emmy.  It will be a well deserved nomination.
